What can I say.........I guess we've been tired?
Hosea has been waking up very early, earlier than I'm ready to roll out of bed, so this has been my remedy to the problem. I wish I could say it worked everyday, but this is actually the only time it did work, and MIke caught me in the act. Every other day it is Hosea crawling all over me and jumping on me until I get up.
Shiloh was sick again last week, thankfully with something antibiotics could fix. The sweet little ballerina sat in the recliner for a short break and the next thing we knew she was asleep at 6:30pm. She slept through to bedtime, until 8:00am the next morning. She was feeling better when she woke up.
Helping Daddy Study!
Mike has been working hard learning to fly the T-6B. Harder some days than others. It's been nice that he is able to spend a more considerable amount of time at home, even if it is studying, he needs study breaks sometimes and of course a lunch break, that's when we enjoy getting to see him. But since where he studies does not have a door and we don't hold Hosea in captivity, or Shiloh for that matter, sometimes his break times are chosen for him. I don't think he minds.

What we've been up-to.
We went to the beach yesterday to see the effects of the oil spill. This is the Perdido Key beach that was closed last week, as you can see it looks normal. The clean up was quick and effective here for this beach, the warning signs were down, people were swimming and the sand was still white, I hope it goes this well for the rest of the beaches here in FL. Hosea enjoyed running from the waves, though he got caught a couple of times.

We also had the pleasure of seeing Sesame Street Live. There was a free military performance, and the kids got a free toy. Hosea was a little scared of the over-sized characters, but did eventually get his face out of mikes chest to watch. Shiloh enjoyed the music and was entertained. At first she didn't want the characters to get close to her, but then later wanted to "say hi". There was never an opportunity for that. She did get up and dance along during some of the parts, it was cute to watch her try and dance.

Shiloh and I went to a bridal shower for a young lady at church. We played a game where each team had to turn a team member into a bride using duck tape and a table cloth, Shiloh was are model and she insisted wearing her outfit all evening so she could come home and "show daddy".

One evening we ate out, and decided to go to Krispy Cream and watch the fresh doughnuts be made, and of course enjoy one. We got a dozen to go and relived the whole experience the following morning, both kids loved it!

Shiloh loves doing my hair and accessories. Don't I look fabulous!

This is her preparing, "she had to put her glasses on so she could see".

Prego Brain or just me?
Today was an exemplary day to blame pregnancy. However I know it's just me b/c it has happened to me when I'm not pregnant. I'm not sure where to start as I can't remember what happened first. What is at the peak of my mind at present is the double batch of pumpkin bread I made and forgot to put sugar in, thankfully the second 2 loves where uncooked when I realized this so i was able to add sugar, so just a single batch of pumpkin bread was as it should be.
Then I was so on top of my game this morning that I had the kids do some painting projects for father's day card's, which I set outside in the warm sun to dry, it was a beautiful day, and it keeps the kids out of it. Never mind that afternoon thunderstorm and down-pour of rain we had. Oops!
Next....we have an abundance of ripe bananas around, and I have made some good things out of them and they are nearing the end of their life, but I decided to make smoothies with our dinner so we could use some more of them up. I got the smoothies all made with a variety of frozen and fresh fruit and poured into cups to realize that...............you guessed it, I forgot to put the bananas in.
And last, but actually first since this was the start of the day I could not find my computer to save my life. I scanned the desk, where it usually "lives" especially over night b/c I like to keep it charged. All I could get visual of was Mike's computer, so I checked and re-checked all the other locations I would even consider using my computer, bedroom, kitchen table, coffee table, no where to be found. Then I checked all the places that I could think Mike might take my computer in the event he had used it, sometimes he lets his battery die and borrows mine. NO WHERE TO Be Found! So naturally I call him, to see if he's seen the thing somewhere unusual b/c I'm at a loss. As the phone is ringing I decided to make one more methodical scan of the desk, I honestly can't believe it's not there. I start at the left, mike's study stuff, 3 ring binder, note cards, book, working right.......mike's computer, printer..........o...wait.....hang up ringing phone call to husband, it's on top of the printer. It was camouflage I tell you, blended right in. Mike text me later to see if i needed anything, he saw he had missed a call while he was in class, so i had to confess the whole thing to him.
PSS, my computer died while composing this blog, which never happens, I'm soo pregnant!
I know that I am doing much better than I deserve basking in the abundance of Gods grace poured out in our lives, and am thankful for His extreme mercy and kindness to me. But for this many things to go..........well the way they did all in the same day..........lets just all have a little chuckle about it before my head hits the pillow and I try again tomorrow.

Da' Beach
We made it to Navarre Beach this weekend, we had a blast. Lately I've been bad about remembering the camera, but in this case it's not that I forgot it, but rather that it fell out of the bag in the van when we loaded or in route to. So I'm one step closer than I was to having some good shots of my sweet family.
I am happy to report that the oil hasn't hit Navarre Beach yet. They have close Perdido Key last Wed., which is on the West side of P-cola, where as Navarre is on the East Side. I suppose it is only a matter of time. It was nice to be able to enjoy it, for what may be the last time in a while. We swam on the sound side (no waves) the kids love it! Plus I can just sit in the shallow water and keep and eye on all. Mike got to fly his new kite that he got for Christmas. It is a fancy 2-handle one, he finally got the hang of it and enjoyed it, so that was enjoyable. One of my favorite activities was getting snow cones, deee-lish! I can't get enough ice and well ice with flavor, yummm-o!
Something funny about Shiloh. We had to walk a little way to a part of beach that was not so dense with people, our preference. To take the "short way" back to the van we had to cut through some reeds. The whole way Shiloh was dodging anything that may touch her, and if it was unavoidable she would daintily grab it with her thumb and index finger and place it out of her way. If she happen to miss anything and it touched her leg, she would let out an ouch, or an ohh, or an "oh no" the whole way she was talking her self through this experience, i was laughing and shaking my head most of the time in amusement at my little lady. I was staying back with her as the boys pressed on. At one point I said "come on you slow poke", and her reply was "i'm not a slow poke, you're a fast poke". Then as we neared the edge of the shrubbery I started to encourage her that we had almost made it and once I was through I got even more encouraging to her hoping to increase her speed, which I don't think worked, but once she got all the way out, she crouched down and jumped up and said "that was awesome!" She is a mess, but such a joy at the same time.

#3 update
I had my 34 week appointment today. I was sad to learn that #3 is transverse, which means he/she is lying sideways in my abdomen. If #3 stays in the position a c-section is unavoidable. I've been looking up natural things I can do at home to help #3 get head down, instead of shoulder down, but only time will tell. Please pray that the Lord's will is done, and that I will have peace about all this. I am thankful that though this is less than ideal, we are both still healthy, that the problem was identified, and that there is a known solution to the problem, and that the means are available to us. I know that God in all His sufficiency will provide all we need as He lavishes us with His grace abundantly everyday.

Trip to Ohio
We had a lovely visit with Mike's family about a week ago. The kids were so happy to see Grandma and Grandpoo! They adore them, and their 3 uncles. I forgot my camera, b/c it was a last minute early departure. We knew the day before we left that we were leaving the next day, so I was in a laundry/packing/tidying scramble. The beauty of the military training command. I am thankful that we were able to go to see Mike's middle younger brother graduate high school! And am thankful to Myra Mike's cousin for sharing her pictures on facebook with me.

It was also a blessing to see much of Mike's extended family. Here we are all together.

The kids didn't have any fun at all (sarcasm). The good times included, but were not limited to..... a lovely afternoon boating and swimming at the lake. Grandma bought a kiddie pool and squirt guns to play with, and the hot tub was Shiloh's favorite thing to do. Thanks Grandma and Grandpoo for a lovely visit!
